PostSubject: Using Styrofoam 'Broccoli Boxes'   Thu Jun 05, 2008 1:12 am

I have just had another low cost beekeeping idea. Broccoli Boxes cost about $5 ea or $3.50 ea for about 50. The one I am measuring up, would take about 14 or 15 frames 7'' deep by 11'' long. I am thinking that 2 smaller supers on this side by side would make make nice handleable alternatives to ideals ( 6 5/8 ). They could also serve as six frame nucleus boxes.
